Job Title: Team Teach Trained Teaching Assistant (Full-Time)

Location: Longsight, Manchester
Contract Type: Agency (with potential for temporary to permanent)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm
Working Pattern: Term Time Only

We are currently seeking a dedicated and resilient Team Teach Trained Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Longsight, Manchester. This is a full-time position within school hours, supporting students who may present with challenging behaviour and additional needs.

This role is initially offered through an agency, with a strong opportunity to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.

• Support students with behavioural, emotional, or learning needs in the classroom
• Implement positive behaviour management strategies in line with Team Teach principles
• Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to deliver tailored support
• Provide 1:1 and small group interventions
• Help maintain a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment
• Use de-escalation techniques to manage challenging situations effectively

• Valid Team Teach training (essential)
• Experience working in a school or similar setting
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Calm, patient, and resilient approach
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff

• Experience supporting students with SEN (e.g. SEMH, ASD, ADHD)
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
• Relevant education or childcare qualifications

• Full-time role with consistent hours (no shift work)
