SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) Autism & ADHD 1:1

Job Role: SEN 1:1 LSA
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Daily Rate: £85.50 £120
Contract: Full time
Start: ASAP

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism and ADHD in a welcoming school in Hemel Hempstead. This is a full-time role, offering an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in a child s learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism and ADHD
  • Support learning activities in line with the teacher s direction
  • Help manage behaviour in a positive, calm, and consistent manner
  • Encourage social, emotional, and academic development
  • Adapt support to meet the individual needs of the pupil
  • Work closely with teaching staff and the SENCO to support progress

What we re looking for:

  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly Autism and/or ADHD (preferred but not essential)
  • A patient, caring, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
