Temporary Buyer - Manufacturing
£16-£18 per hour 4-day week Temp-to-Perm Potential
We're supporting a well-established manufacturing business that is looking to bring in an experienced Buyer on a temporary basis. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with manufacturing buying experience who can quickly support day-to-day purchasing activity.
There is potential for a permanent role for the right person if the assignment is a strong mutual fit.
The role
You'll play a key role in ensuring materials and components are available to support production, working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities will include:
- Raising and managing purchase orders
- Liaising with suppliers on pricing, lead times and deliveries
- Monitoring stock levels and supporting inventory control
- Expediting orders and resolving supply issues
- Supporting cost control and supplier performance activity
About you
- Previous experience in a Buyer / Purchasing role within a manufacturing environment
- Confident working with suppliers and internal production teams
- Comfortable using MRP/ERP systems and Excel
- Organised, proactive and able to hit the ground running
Buying experience from any manufacturing background will be considered.
