Want to own one of the UK's most high-profile retail accounts?
This is a high-impact Technical Manager role sitting at the heart of a fast-paced, fresh produce business, leading this retailer account and driving standards across a global supply base.
You'll be the link between supplier, site, and customer - ensuring product safety, quality, compliance, and innovation are delivered at the highest level.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Own supplier relationships (UK & overseas)
- Drive standards across food safety, quality, legality & ESG
- Lead supplier engagement, visits, audits & improvement plans
Lead technical performance & reporting
- Own KPI reporting (quality, shelf life, complaints, waste)
- Deliver clear, customer-facing insights and action plans
Be the key technical contact
- Manage communication, expectations & technical delivery
- Support customer meetings, reporting & site visits
Drive trials, innovation & benchmarking
- Lead product, packaging & varietal trials
- Own benchmarking and continuous improvement initiatives
Work cross-functionally across the business
- Collaborate with Commercial, Packaging, Compliance & Ops
- Align ways of working across the wider group
Champion continuous improvement
- Develop SOPs, systems and technical processes
- Drive quality culture and performance across the supply chain
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Strong Technical / Quality background within fresh produce or food manufacturing
Experience managing retailer accounts (ideally M&S)
Solid understanding of BRCGS, retailer standards & supply chain compliance
Confident managing suppliers, audits, and customer relationships
Data-driven with the ability to turn insight into action
Strong communicator - able to influence at all levels
Comfortable with UK & international travel
