A prominent local authority in the North West is seeking an experienced Class 3 RBI to support their Building Control team on a part-time basis. This is an ideal opportunity for an inspector who prefers the flexibility of a 3-day working week while maintaining a consistent, ongoing workload.

The Role

• Commitment: 3 days per week (Flexible days).
• Duration: Long-term, ongoing interim contract.
• Location: North West England (Site visits required).
• IR35 Status: Inside IR35.
• Rate: Competitive hourly rate, negotiable based on experience and competency level.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical advice on complex building projects falling under Class 3 requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and plan checking to ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act and relevant regulations.
• Support the local authority in maintaining high standards of safety and compliance within the region.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to navigate complex regulatory landscapes.

Requirements

• BSR Registration: Must be a Registered Building Inspector (Class 3).
• Technical Expertise: Proven experience in managing high-risk buildings or complex commercial/residential projects.
• Communication: Ability to provide clear, authoritative guidance to developers, architects, and contractors.
