The Category Manager will be responsible for managing procurement activities within the industrial/manufacturing sector. This role requires expertise in category management (direct procurement) and the ability to develop and implement sourcing strategies in Warrington.

Description
- Develop and implement category strategies for direct procurement in alignment with business objectives.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure optimal performance and value delivery.
- Conduct market analysis to identify sourcing opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to achieve cost savings and quality improvements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement activities with operational needs.
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards in all procurement activities.
- Provide regular reports and updates on category performance and cost efficiencies.
Profile
A successful Category Manager should have:
- Proven experience in category management within the industrial/manufacturing sector.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- A good understanding of procurement processes and sourcing strategies.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in using procurement tools and systems.
- CIPs qualification would be desirable but not essential
