We're looking for an IT Engineer to join our IT team. In this role, you'll work closely with our IT and security teams to identify, assess, and remediate vulnerabilities across endpoint devices, ensuring they remain secure, compliant, and resilient.
What it's like to work here
You'll be part of the Support Services directorate, within a collaborative IT function that values shared purpose, trust and learning from one another. The team works closely with colleagues across the organisation and with external partners to deliver high quality IT services that support people in their everyday work. You'll be encouraged to contribute ideas, build strong working relationships and develop your skills, while being supported by an IT Senior Engineer and a wider network of technical specialists.
Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.
What you'll be doing
You'll support the development and delivery of endpoint vulnerability management solutions, ensuring alignment with our IT and security standards. You'll help translate approved security designs into operational controls across endpoint devices, working independently, within project teams, or alongside third-party suppliers. A key part of the role is maintaining endpoint security posture, supporting vulnerability remediation, handling escalations, and collaborating with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. You'll also contribute to continuous improvement, projects, and day-to-day operations, while taking ownership of your development and sharing knowledge to strengthen team capability.
You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. You don't need to have all of the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what's possible in this role.
