Logistics Coordinator (Night Shift)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Logistics Coordinator to join a dynamic time-critical logistics operation based in Dover. Working within a busy overnight transport environment, you will play a key role in coordinating urgent freight movements, ensuring deliveries are managed efficiently and deadlines are consistently achieved.

This role would suit someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys problem-solving and has excellent communication and organisational skills. Working closely with internal teams, clients and transport partners, you will help deliver exceptional service while maintaining high operational standards in a fast-moving logistics environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage time-critical logistics and transport operations across the UK and Europe
• Monitor shipments and ensure all schedules, deadlines and service levels are achieved
• Work closely with the Team Leader to support operational best practice and service excellence
• Maintain awareness of European driving regulations and transport restrictions to support effective route planning
• Escalate delays or operational issues promptly and provide suitable resolution options
• Build and maintain strong relationships with transport carriers and suppliers
• Identify and communicate any gaps in carrier coverage to the supplier management team
• Ensure carrier non-conformances are accurately recorded and escalated in line with quality procedures

Education & Skills Required

• Previous experience within logistics, transport or freight coordination is desirable.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Additional language skills would be advantageous

Working pattern: 4 nights on/4 off (12 hour shifts 7pm - 7am), office-based.
