Multi-Skilled Engineer

Location - North Lincolnshire

Salary - 51,000

Shift Pattern - 4 on 4 off Days and Nights.

I am recruiting for an FMCG Manufacturer in North Lincolnshire with their search for a Multi-Skilled Engineer. If you are an Electrical bias engineer with seasoned experience in the industry, this role could be for you! You will be doing reactive and preventative maintenance on various machinery, and implementing continuous improvement at every stage to keep production running for the future.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out fault diagnosis and repairs across electrical and mechanical systems to minimise production downtime
  • Take a hands-on approach in both scheduled maintenance and immediate breakdown response
  • Maintain, optimise, and repair a range of equipment including slicing systems, seasoning units, conveyors, and automated packaging lines
  • Participate in ongoing improvement initiatives to increase machine efficiency and reduce unplanned stoppages
  • Work closely with operations and production teams to ensure smooth running of equipment and minimal disruption
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety and internal maintenance procedures at all times

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong hands-on experience working with both electrical and mechanical systems in a manufacturing or production setting
  • Relevant engineering qualification - such as NVQ Level 3, BTEC, HNC/HND or equivalent apprenticeship
  • Experience in a similar role such as (multi skilled engineer, shift engineer, shift technician, engineering technician, electrical maintenance engineer)
  • Practical knowledge of maintaining and troubleshooting automated machinery - particularly in packaging or food processing environments (preferred but not essential)
  • Confidence in reacting to breakdowns as well as carrying out preventative maintenance tasks
