Anderson Knight is currently recruiting for a Legal Assistant on behalf of a highly respected and established law firm based in Glasgow.

Key Responsibilities
Administrative & Secretarial Support
Provide comprehensive administrative support to fee earners across multiple offices, ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the department.
Act as a professional first point of contact for clients, handling calls and enquiries on behalf of team members where required.
Coordinate departmental meetings, training sessions, and CPD activities.
Manage diaries, scheduling, and staff holiday records.
Support the continued development of a paper-lite working environment, ensuring documents are managed effectively and securely.
Legal Administration
Assist with file review processes to ensure matters are progressed accurately and within agreed timescales.
Communicate with clients on a regular basis and respond to queries as directed by fee earners.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
Support the onboarding and induction of new employees, including fee earners, trainees, and support staff.
Billing & Reporting
Assist with the monthly billing cycle, ensuring all activities are completed accurately and within deadlines.
Support the review of outstanding balances, fee reports, and timesheet information.
Produce and maintain reports and spreadsheets relating to billing activity and fee earner workloads.
Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and support continuous improvement initiatives across the team.

Essential

Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and reporting information.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Desirable
Previous experience within a legal or professional services environment.
Familiarity with legal terminology and legal administrative procedures.
Experience using legal case management systems.
