Are you a proactive, hands-on operations professional who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment? We are working with a well-established, nationwide transport specialist to recruit an Operations Supervisor / Planner to join their growing team.

The Role
As a central part of the operations team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating vehicle routes, managing daily transport activity and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning routes, collections and deliveries to maximise efficiency and service levels
- Managing transport activity through the TMS system
- Acting as the main point of contact for day-to-day operational issues
- Liaising with internal teams and customers regarding bookings, updates and queries
- Ensuring vehicles are dispatched on time, prioritising workloads effectively
- Supporting driver communication, scheduling and compliance
- Promoting health & safety standards across the site
Working hours are Monday-Friday on a rotating shift pattern (early and late shifts).
What We're Looking For
- Experience within transport, logistics or planning
- Strong communication skills with the ability to lead and influence a team
- A positive, adaptable and solution-focused mindset
- Good geographical knowledge and understanding of driver regulations
- Confident IT skills
- Counterbalance FLT licence desirable
