Maintenance Officer

Location: Redditch Contract: Temporary (6 Months) Pay Rate: 20.00 - 23.00 per hour PAYE Hours: Full Time
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Officer to join a busy property and maintenance team based in Redditch.
This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable maintenance professional with a strong background in building services, property maintenance, and compliance to support the delivery of maintenance and repair services across a diverse property portfolio. Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and minor works projects.
• Monitor contractor performance to ensure works are completed to required standards, within budget, and on schedule.
• Carry out property inspections and condition surveys.
• Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with the management of maintenance programmes and asset-related works.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation using internal IT systems.
• Liaise with contractors, tenants, stakeholders, and internal departments to resolve maintenance issues effectively.
• Support the delivery of high-quality property maintenance services.

Requirements

HNC/HND in Building Services, OR A minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in a property maintenance, building services, or estates environment. Good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and compliance requirements. Strong IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Office and property management systems.
