Assistant Management Accountant
An innovative and highly regarded organisation is seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join its established finance team. This role is suitable for a candidate with strong management accounting experience and exposure to project-based financials.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the production of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journals
- Deliver meaningful variance analysis and financial commentary to support stakeholders
- Support project accounting, monitoring costs, budgets, and financial performance across multiple workstreams
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with internal teams
- Produce and maintain financial reports, including P&L and cash flow information
- Reconcile key accounts and support month-end and year-end processes
- Assist in improving financial processes and controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency
- Provide ad hoc analysis and support to senior finance colleagues and project leads
Key Requirements
- Proven experience in a management accounts or assistant management accountant role
- Exposure to project accounting or working with project budgets/cost tracking
- Strong understanding of month-end processes, accruals, and prepayments
- Experience producing financial reports and analysis for stakeholders
- Holds a completed professional accounting qualification (ACCA / CIMA / ACA)
