An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to become part of a welcoming primary school in Southend-on-Sea.

This permanent role offers the chance to work across Reception through to Year 6, supporting pupils at different stages of their primary education. From leading whole-class learning during teacher absence to delivering focused intervention sessions, you'll play an important part in helping children develop academically, socially and emotionally.

The Role

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Deliver high-quality lessons using pre-prepared planning across Reception to Year 6 Lead one-to-one and small group interventions to support pupil achievement Work alongside teachers to provide engaging and effective classroom support Adapt learning activities to meet the needs of pupils with a range of abilities Encourage positive behaviour and build pupils' confidence in their learning Monitor progress and provide valuable feedback to teaching staff Support the wider school community and contribute to a positive learning culture

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds HLTA status or has substantial experience working in a similar role Has previous experience covering classes within a primary school Is confident leading intervention programmes that support pupil progress Demonstrates strong communication and organisational skills Can build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families Is flexible, proactive and enjoys working across different year groups Is passionate about helping every child achieve their best
