Legal Administrator - Crime

Are you highly organised, detail-oriented, and looking to develop your career within the legal sector? Our client, a well-established and respected law firm in Norwich, is seeking a Legal Administrator to join their busy and supportive Crime Department.

This is an excellent opportunity for an administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys providing essential support to legal professionals and clients.

The Role

As a Legal Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the Crime team with a variety of administrative duties, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the department.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to solicitors and fee earners
  • Preparing, formatting and amending legal documents and correspondence
  • Managing client files, both electronically and in hard copy
  • Opening new client matters and undertaking compliance checks
  • Handling incoming calls and enquiries professionally and efficiently
  • Maintaining accurate records and case management systems
  • Scheduling appointments, meetings and court-related arrangements
  • Managing incoming and outgoing post
  • Assisting with billing and file closing procedures
  • Supporting the wider team with ad hoc administrative tasks

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous administration experience, ideally within a legal or professional services environment
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office applications and database systems
  • The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively
  • A professional and client-focused approach
  • The ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Previous experience in a legal setting or an interest in criminal law would be advantageous but is not essential.
