Legal Administrator - Crime

This is an excellent opportunity for an administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys providing essential support to legal professionals and clients.
The Role
As a Legal Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the Crime team with a variety of administrative duties, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the department.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive administrative support to solicitors and fee earners
- Preparing, formatting and amending legal documents and correspondence
- Managing client files, both electronically and in hard copy
- Opening new client matters and undertaking compliance checks
- Handling incoming calls and enquiries professionally and efficiently
- Maintaining accurate records and case management systems
- Scheduling appointments, meetings and court-related arrangements
- Managing incoming and outgoing post
- Assisting with billing and file closing procedures
- Supporting the wider team with ad hoc administrative tasks
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous administration experience, ideally within a legal or professional services environment
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications and database systems
- The ability to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively
- A professional and client-focused approach
- The ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Previous experience in a legal setting or an interest in criminal law would be advantageous but is not essential.
