A returning client of ours in the freight forwarding/logistics industry is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to look after the day to day running of the finance team and oversee a team of 12.
Job Description.
Duties will include:
• To oversee the smooth running of the account department and lead up to 12 Staff
• Accounts payable/ receivable, Sales Ledger, Billings and Credit Control
• Bank / Duty Vat reconciliations
• VAT Returns
• Oversee credit checks & risk assessments on new clients, UK and overseas
• Liaising with senior management and external financial accountants when required
• Overseeing the processing of sales and purchase invoices
• Handling any queries
• Reporting to the senior management team
• P&L / Aged Debtor reports / Budgets /Payroll
Experience needed:
• Previous experience within all aspects of accounts/ finance
• Previous Managerial experience of large teams
• Experience within cargo / freight forwarding/ logistics (Essential)
Salary: subject to experience.
Office based Only. Monday- Friday pm office base with free parking
Qualifications:
• AAT trained at least or Part Qualified/QBE
• Good knowledge Microsoft Excel / Sage 50 / ASM / BoxTop/Sage Intaact
• You should be self-motivated and self-driven
• Attention to detail, very good organisational skill
