Hiring: Accounts Assistant (Part Time) Legal 500 Law Firm

£40,000 full time equivalent (16 hours across 2/3 days)

A flexible, part-time opportunity for an Accounts Assistant within a Legal 500 firm, joining a close-knit and highly supportive finance and operations team.

The Role:

  • Manage day-to-day cashbook processing across client and office accounts
  • Complete bank reconciliations accurately and in a timely manner
  • Post client and office account transactions in line with procedures
  • Work within Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR) compliance framework
  • Support financial administration within a busy private client practice
  • Assist with general accounts processes and internal finance queries
  • Use systems such as LEAP, Xero, or similar legal/accounting software

About you:

  • Previous experience in an accounts or finance support role
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
  • Comfortable working with financial systems and reconciliations
  • Understanding of, or willingness to learn, Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • Organised, reliable, and able to manage workload independently
  • Enjoys working in a collaborative office environment
