What You'll Do
- Support the design, implementation and continuous improvement of Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) frameworks across cyber, fraud and technology risk, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and evolving regulatory requirements.
- Promote first-line ownership of risks, issues, controls and remediation activities by maintaining effective governance structures, clear accountabilities and robust risk management processes.
- Lead and support the full control life cycle, including Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs), control design and testing, evidence collection, performance monitoring and continuous improvement to strengthen the control environment.
- Monitor, analyse and report on key risk indicators (KRIs), control effectiveness, risk exposure and remediation progress, providing actionable insights and recommendations to governance forums and stakeholders.
- Identify control gaps, operational risks and compliance issues, translating regulatory and policy requirements into practical operational guidance whilst driving remediation activities through to completion.
- Co-ordinate internal and external audits, regulatory reviews, assurance activities and resilience initiatives, supporting transformation programmes, incident response and ongoing governance improvements.
What You Bring
- Proven experience working within Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) frameworks, governance structures and risk management disciplines, ideally within financial services or another highly regulated environment.
- Strong expertise in governance, technology risk, cyber security, fraud risk, third-party risk and control oversight, with experience implementing governance frameworks.
- Sound knowledge of regulatory and industry frameworks, including DORA, FCA requirements, NIST and ISO standards, with regulatory experience across the UK, Ireland or Germany.
- Experience supporting regulatory engagements, internal and external audits, assurance reviews and compliance activities within complex organisational environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and risk assessment skills, with the ability to provide effective challenge, interpret complex information and influence risk-based decision-making.
- Relevant professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC or CISA are highly desirable.
