Job Description

Supply Chain Planner

We are currently partnering with a fast-paced and growing organisation to recruit a Supply Chain planner. This role will take ownership of the end-to-end fulfilment process across a designated supplier category, ensuring supplier data is accurately maintained and operational processes run smoothly across internal systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of fulfilment activities for an assigned supplier category, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all processes
  • Provide key documentation and information to support inbound purchase orders, including:
    • Import clearance coordination
    • Management of manufacturing order tolerances
    • Supporting supplier payments in line with agreed terms
  • Plan, schedule and coordinate inbound container shipments with suppliers and 3PL warehouse partners
  • Forecast replenishment requirements for 3PL locations based on historical demand trends and upcoming business activity
  • Generate reporting and trend analysis to support inventory planning and operational decision-making
  • Raise and manage purchase orders in line with departmental targets and system-driven requirements
  • Ensure timely supplier acknowledgement of purchase orders, challenging discrepancies and escalating issues where required
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across business systems, communicating any changes to relevant stakeholders
  • Monitor purchase order progress and proactively expedite deliveries to maintain high service levels
  • Manage supplier non-conformance reports (NCRs), ensuring issues are recorded, investigated and resolved promptly
  • Track and report on supplier and product performance, including ensuring all applicable rebates are captured
  • Prepare data, insights and reports to support supplier reviews and commercial negotiations
  • Support wider team activities and undertake additional duties as required

Required Background & Experience

  • Previous experience within supply chain, logistics or warehouse/distribution environments
  • Experience working with multiple systems, ideally including warehouse management and ERP systems
  • Strong background in data management, reporting and analysis
  • Experience managing relationships with multiple suppliers and third-party logistics providers

  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate and manage complex data sets
  • Highly detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy across supply chain processes
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across suppliers and internal stakeholders
  • Process-driven and disciplined approach to work
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
