Job Description

Temporary Receptionist

Location: Longbridge, Birmingham
Assignment Dates: Monday 24 August - Tuesday 8 September
Training: Friday 21 August (approximately 2 hours)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 3:00pm

We are looking for a friendly, professional, and reliable Temporary Receptionist to provide front-of-house cover for a short-term assignment based in the Longbridge area of Birmingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone ideally with previous reception or front of house experience who enjoys working in a busy office environment and delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meeting and greeting visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Collecting courier deliveries from the main reception area.
  • Answering incoming telephone calls, taking accurate messages, and transferring calls to the appropriate colleagues.
  • Managing the daily incoming and outgoing post.
  • Providing ad hoc administrative support as required.
  • Maintaining a tidy and organised reception area.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will:

  • Have previous reception or office administration experience.
  • Be confident communicating with visitors, colleagues, and customers.
  • Have excellent telephone manners and interpersonal skills.
  • Be organised, reliable, and able to prioritise tasks.
  • Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Be able to work independently and use their initiative.
