Precision Inspector - Various Shifts Available - Oxfordshire Supporting a UK-Based F1 TeamPay Rate: £26.00 - £39.50 per hour (Umbrella PAYE Inside IR35)We are currently recruiting experienced Precision Inspectors to join our team supporting a leading UK-based Formula 1 team. This is an exciting opportunity for skilled inspection professionals to work within a world-class, high-performance engineering environment.We are looking for candidates with experience across CMM inspection, manual metrology, scanning systems, and precision engineering who can maintain the highest standards of quality and accuracy.The RoleAs a Precision Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting high-quality precision components, analysing inspection results, and ensuring all parts meet strict engineering and quality requirements.You will work with advanced inspection equipment and systems, supporting production and engineering teams by providing accurate measurement data and maintaining exceptional quality standards.Key Responsibilities & Skills Perform precision inspection using CMM equipment, manual metrology equipment, and scanning systems Operate and run pre-written CMM inspection programs Create, edit, and run advanced PC-DMIS programs (online and offline) where required Analyse detailed inspection reports and identify issues Develop and support PolyWorks programs for 7-axis scanning arms Produce clear and detailed inspection reports Build probes and complete calibration programs Ensure all calibration procedures are followed correctly Use 6 and 7-axis scanning arms and vision inspection systems Carry out manual inspection using a wide range of metrology equipment, including:o Micrometerso Vernier calliperso Bore micrometerso Height gaugeso Slip gaugeso Pin gaugeso DTI clockso Shadow graphso Thread gaugeso Spline gauges Interpret complex engineering drawings Apply GD&T principles to inspection requirements Use laser part marking equipment Follow written and verbal instructions accurately Maintain accurate inspection records and documentation Work closely with engineering and production teams to resolve quality issuesExperience & Skills Required Strong background in precision inspection or metrology Experience within automotive, aerospace, motorsport, or advanced manufacturing environments is preferred Knowledge of CMM inspection and measurement techniques PC-DMIS and/or PolyWorks experience desirable Good understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T Competent IT skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office packages Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality Strong communication skills A proactive team player with a positive "can-do" attitudeWhat We Offer £26.00 - £39.50 per hour (Umbrella PAYE Inside IR35) Various shift patterns available Overtime opportunities Opportunity to work witth a leading UK-based Formula 1 team High-tech, clean manufacturing environment Long-term opportunities within precision engineering and motorsporIf you are looking for an exciting opportunity to apply your inspection skills within a world-class motorsport environment, we would like to hear from you.Please send you CV to
