Job Description

The OpportunityAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to join a fast-growing, entrepreneurial business. This is a newly created role offering the chance to take ownership of the finance function, working closely with senior leadership to provide financial rigour, commercial insight, and strategic support.This is a hands-on position where you'll be responsible for everything from producing management accounts and cashflow reporting through to profitability analysis, forecasting, and business partnering. You'll play a key role in helping the business make better decisions and drive future growth.ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Management Information
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, P&L reports and cashflow statements.
  • Produce monthly management information packs and financial performance analysis.
  • Deliver variance analysis against budget and prior periods.
  • Develop financial dashboards and KPI reporting.
Financial Control & Systems
  • Maintain and reconcile accounting systems and ERP integrations.
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation across sales channels and operational systems.
  • Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies.
  • Drive improvements to financial processes, controls and reporting.
Commercial Finance
  • Analyse profitability by customer, channel and product category
  • Support pricing decisions, commercial negotiations and growth initiatives.
  • Build and maintain budgets, forecasts and financial models.
  • Evaluate new business opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
Compliance & Team Support
  • Manage VAT reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Lead year-end preparation and support external accountants and auditors.
  • Support and develop a small finance team member, overseeing credit control activities
The Person
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience.
  • Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
  • Proven experience working with accounting and ERP systems.
  • Confident producing management accounts and MI packs from first principles.
  • Commercially minded with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
