Children's Home Manager

  • Annual Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 plus up to £6,000 performance bonus
  • Location: Northumberland
  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for an experienced Children's Home Manager to lead and develop a brand-new therapeutic children's home in Northumberland. This role is perfect for a leader passionate about creating a nurturing environment that fosters outstanding outcomes for children.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Lead the registration, opening, and ongoing development of the home.
  • Ensure full compliance with OFSTED regulations and Children's Homes Quality Standards.
  • Recruit, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Establish a positive and therapeutic culture focused on achieving outstanding outcomes for children.
  • Manage budgets, staffing, safeguarding, and quality assurance.
  • Build effective relationships with local authorities, families, and partner agencies.
  • Drive continuous improvement and work towards achieving an 'Outstanding' OFSTED rating.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, or experienced senior leader within a children's residential setting.
  • Strong understanding of OFSTED regulations, safeguarding, and Children's Homes Standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team development skills.
  • Passion for improving outcomes for vulnerable children and young people.
  • Full UK driving licence.
