FLT Counterbalance Operative (Packing Department)

Prestige Recruitment Specialists are currently recruiting for an FLT Counterbalance Operative to join a busy manufacturing and production environment based in the HU12 area of Hull.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual with a valid, in-date Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence looking for ongoing work, with the potential for permanent employment based on performance, work ethic and attitude.

Working within the Packing Department, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient packing, handling and movement of finished products while operating a Counterbalance FLT to support production and warehouse activities. You will also help maintain high standards of quality, cleanliness and health and safety.

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
• Loading batches into kegging stations
• Moving finished products and pallets to the goods store
• Loading, unloading and transporting materials around site
• Following batch card instructions and customer specifications
• Carrying out checks on equipment and workstations
• Packing, banding and wrapping pallets
• Completing production records and batch information accurately
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Checking and cleaning equipment as required
• Reporting any issues, faults or unusual findings to the relevant supervisor
• Following all health and safety procedures
• Carrying out any other reasonable duties as required

• A valid, in-date Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence is essential
• Previous experience operating a Counterbalance FLT within a manufacturing, production or warehouse environment
• Experience within packing or production is advantageous
• A strong work ethic and reliable attitude
• Good attention to detail
• The ability to follow instructions and work to established procedures
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, physically active role
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• The ability to work safely as part of a team

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (exact shift times to be confirmed)

Pay Rate: 14.05 per hour

Start Date: 1st September 2026

There are currently two opportunities available, with the potential for one or both positions to become permanent depending on individual performance and the future needs of the business.
