Salary: Pay to Scale (MPS/UPS) - dependent on experience
Prospero Teaching is recruiting a passionate and dedicated Biology Teacher for a welcoming secondary school in Ashford, Surrey starting in September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive Science department and make a real impact on students' academic success.
The successful candidate will teach Biology across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced applicants.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Biology lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Plan, prepare and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback to support achievement.
- Foster a positive, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Science department.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching Biology within a UK secondary school.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Passionate about inspiring young people and raising attainment.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Right to work in the UK.
