Your new role
- Build and develop long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Proactively generate new business opportunities through outbound sales activity.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of customer accounts.
- Identify customer requirements and provide appropriate product and service solutions.
- Deliver market information and commercial insights to support customer decision-making.
- Work closely with suppliers and internal departments to ensure customer needs are met.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activity.
- Achieve individual sales and growth targets.
- Provide a high level of customer service at all times.
- Support wider office operations as required.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience within sales, telesales, customer service, account management or business development.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Commercial awareness and a customer-focused approach.
Desirable
- Experience within a business-to-business sales environment.
- Experience developing customer accounts.
- Knowledge of commodity, manufacturing, distribution or related industries.
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced commercial setting.
