Leicester / Wolverhampton

This leading training provider has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality apprenticeship programmes across the automotive and transport sectors. Due to continued growth, they are expanding their HGV training team and are looking for experienced Heavy Vehicle Technicians to join them. Full teacher training and qualifications are provided, making this an ideal opportunity for someone looking to move into education for the first time.

In this role, you will train and mentor HGV apprentices, supporting them through both the practical and theoretical aspects of their qualifications. Working in modern training facilities, you will help learners develop the technical skills, knowledge, and confidence required to become successful Heavy Vehicle Technicians.

The ideal candidate will be a Level 3 qualified HGV Technician, PSV Technician, Bus and Coach Technician, or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic with strong industry experience. Previous teaching or training experience is not required, just a passion for your trade and a desire to help others succeed.

The Role:
Deliver practical and theory-based training to HGV apprentices
Support learners through their qualifications and development
Full teacher training and ongoing professional development provided
Initial 6-week training period in Wolverhampton with accommodation provided
Travel between Leicester and Wolverhampton sites as required
Monday to Friday role with excellent work-life balance

The Person:
Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent)
Experience as an HGV Technician, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, PSV Technician, or Bus and Coach Technician
Strong hands-on industry experience
Based within commuting distance of Coventry and willing to travel between Leicester and Wolverhampton
Interested in moving into a training or education role
Passionate about developing the next generation of vehicle technicians
