Employee Relations Specialist
£70,000 per annum
9 Month Assignment
UK, Remote

About the Role
Our client is currently recruiting for an Employee Relations Specialist to join their team! Within this role you will be a key member of the People Experience (PX) team, responsible for managing employee relations casework, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements, and driving operational efficiency in ER processes.
This role requires strong investigative skills, a focus on fair and consistent application of policy, and the ability to leverage data for reporting and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Employee Conversations & Casework:

  • Conduct thorough, timely, and objective investigations into complex employee relations issues, including allegations of policy violations, misconduct, and disputes, following best practices and legal guidelines.
  • Partner with PX Business Partners (PXBP) and Legal to provide guidance and consultation to managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate case files, documentation, and records of investigations and outcomes.
  • Facilitate dialogue and mediation to resolve workplace issues and foster a positive working environment.
  • Performance Management and coaching are key elements of caseload.

Operations & Compliance:

  • Ensure consistent application and interpretation of HR policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Assist in the development, review, and roll-out of new or updated HR policies and training materials related to employee conduct and relations.
  • Monitor and track current and pending employment legislation to ensure company compliance.
  • Manage the operational workflow of the Employee Relations function, including process mapping and continuous improvement initiatives.

Reporting & Analytics:

  • Develop and maintain key Employee Relations metrics and dashboards.
  • Analyse ER data to identify trends, root causes, and systemic issues, providing insights and recommendations to PX leadership to mitigate risk and improve employee experience.
  • Work to automate regular reports on case volume, resolution times, and types of issues for executive review.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, with a minimum of 3 years specializing in Employee Relations, including EMEA experience if possible.
  • In-depth knowledge of running processes
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to conduct sensitive and confidential conversations with all levels of employees.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect, analyse, and synthesize large amounts of data to produce meaningful reports and insights.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage a high-volume caseload and multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • High level of integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality
