Location: Hitchin
Salary: £36,000 £38,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday

About the Role

My client is looking for an experienced Motor Vehicle Technician to join their team in Hitchin.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled Vehicle Technician with strong mechanical knowledge and experience in servicing, diagnostics, fault finding and vehicle repairs.

You will be responsible for carrying out high-quality work across a range of vehicles, ensuring all repairs and maintenance are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine vehicle servicing and maintenance
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults
  • Carry out vehicle diagnostics and fault finding
  • Complete mechanical repairs to a high standard
  • Carry out inspections and identify any additional work required
  • Repair and maintain braking, suspension and steering systems
  • Carry out general vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean and organised workshop
  • Follow health and safety procedures
  • Work effectively as part of a team
About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Previous experience as a Motor Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Technician
  • Strong mechanical knowledge
  • Experience with servicing and vehicle repairs
  • Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Experience working in a busy workshop environment
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A professional approach to work
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship
