Elevation Recruitment Group are partnering with a leading aerospace and defence manufacturing company, in the hire of an Operations Manager. This an excellent opportunity to join a growing, global business currently ranking among the top one hundred companies in the industry globally.

Key responsibilities for the Operations Manager:

• Leading the HSE Management for your area.
• Supporting the Production Managers in achieving the production plan and securing resources to achieve this consistently.
• Working with all functions to reduce risks and drive product and service right first time.
• Weekly sustainment and 5S checks and improvement plans of your area.
• Owning strategic cost improvement initiatives.
• Leading and driving improvement programs to enable and sustain change.
• Leading a team 3 and 5 Production Managers and between 45 and 85 shop floor professionals.

Operations Manager experience required:

• Management experience in an engineering or manufacturing organisation.
• Proven track record delivering improved operations performance, utilising cross-functional teams.
• Experience deploying continuous improvement plans such as lean and six sigma, ideally with Green Belt accreditation.
• Ideally degree qualified or relevant leadership development programmes completed.
