Description
Reporting to the Head of Legal Services, you will provide legal and administrative support across a broad range of contractual matters. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a varied caseload of low to medium complexity contractual matters.
- Advising internal stakeholders on contractual obligations, risks and compliance requirements.
- Identifying legal and commercial risks and recommending practical mitigation strategies.
- Liaising with internal departments and external organisations to obtain information and progress legal matters.
- Maintaining accurate contract records and supporting contract life cycle management processes.
- Coordinating contract execution processes and ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained.
- Providing administrative and operational support to the wider Legal Services team.
- Assisting senior legal colleagues with meetings, note-taking and project-based work where required.
Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
- A legal qualification, law degree, paralegal background or equivalent relevant experience is desirable.
- Experience within an in-house legal team, professional services environment or regulated organisation would be advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to contract administration.
- Knowledge of contractual risk identification and practical risk mitigation.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage at all levels.
- The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
Job Offer
- Salary ranging from £31,500 to £38,500, dependent on the level of experience.
