Accounts & Audit Trainee

Your new companyA well-established and growing accountancy practice providing audit, accounts, tax and business advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from owner-managed businesses to larger corporate organisations. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an ambitious Accounts & Audit Trainee to join their friendly and supportive team.

Your new role

As an Accounts & Audit Trainee, you will receive full training and support whilst working across a varied client portfolio. Responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation of year-end statutory accounts.
• Supporting audit assignments both on-site and remotely.
• Preparing bank reconciliations and working papers.
• Assisting with bookkeeping and management accounts.
• Preparing VAT returns and other compliance work.
• Liaising with clients to obtain information and documentation.
• Working closely with senior team members and managers to develop technical knowledge and professional skills.

What you'll need to succeedYou will be motivated individuals who:

• Have strong A-Level, BTEC or degree-level qualifications.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Are highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Have good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm for a career within accountancy and audit.
• Are keen to study towards a professional qualification (AAT/ACA/ACCA).
