Part-time Senior Bookkeeper

Your new company A successful business in their field is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their finance team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and hands-on finance professional looking for a varied role within a supportive environment, with the possibility of a permanent position.Your new role Working as the sole finance person in an established wider team, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate financial records and supporting the smooth running of the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing the accounts function through to trial balance
• Processing and reconciling UK and European bank accounts
• Performing regular bank reconciliations
• Investigating and resolving discrepancies
• Credit control and debt collection activities
• Maintaining accurate financial records using Xero
• Supporting month-end processes and reporting requirements

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous bookkeeping experience, ideally as a standalone finance professional
• Strong working knowledge of Xero
• Experience producing accounts to trial balance
• Confidence managing multiple bank accounts, including overseas accounts
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Strong credit control and reconciliation experience
