Job Description

Quality & Assurance Manager £50,000-£65,000 Berkshire Defence & Aerospace

Venn Group's Defence & Aerospace team is exclusively supporting a growing UK defence technology manufacturer with the appointment of a Quality & Assurance Manager.

This is a broad, hands-on position with genuine ownership of the organisation's ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, alongside responsibility for developing safety assurance across complex engineering programmes.

You'll work closely with engineering, production, suppliers and senior leadership, with the authority to shape and improve quality processes as the business continues to grow.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own and continuously improve the ISO 9001:2015 QMS
  • Lead internal, external and customer audits
  • Manage NCRs, CAPA and root-cause investigations
  • Drive supplier quality, FAI and continuous improvement
  • Maintain quality documentation, traceability and process controls
  • Support progression towards AS9100 and relevant defence quality standards
  • Develop and maintain the Safety Management System
  • Support hazard management, investigations and safety reporting

We're particularly interested in people with:

  • Quality management experience within engineering or manufacturing
  • Strong practical ISO 9001 experience
  • QMS ownership and auditing experience
  • NCR/CAPA/root-cause and continuous-improvement expertise
  • Experience within aerospace, defence or another safety-critical industry

Experience with AS9100, AS9102, AQAP, MAA Regulatory Articles, SMS, FMEA, APQP or Six Sigma would be advantageous rather than essential.

Chieveley, Berkshire - predominantly office/site based with some flexibility £50,000-£65,000 DOE Must be eligible for UK SC clearance Permanent

This is an opportunity to take real ownership of quality and assurance within a growing British engineering business rather than simply maintaining an established system.
