An exciting opportunity for an Employment Legal Director to join a growing international law firm in Leeds. You will advise a diverse client base on complex employment matters while developing relationships and mentoring junior lawyers.

Description

The Employment Legal Director will be:

Providing commercially focused employment advice to a broad range of clients

Advising company owners, senior management, HR professionals and in house legal teams

Advising public and private sector organisations, senior employees and executives

Handling a broad range of employment matters including disciplinary issues, grievances, dismissals, redundancy and restructuring

Advising on Employment Tribunal claims, including whistle-blowing and discrimination matters

Drafting and reviewing employment documentation and providing practical strategic advice

Working on corporate transactions, including advising on TUPE matters

Assisting with employment investigations and other complex workplace issues

Building and maintaining strong, long term client relationships

  • Supervising junior lawyers, trainees and paralegals within the team

Profile

The Employment Legal Director should be:

A solicitor with 7+ years PQE plus in employment law

Experienced across both contentious and non contentious employment matters

Strong experience advising employers and senior stakeholders

Experienced in Employment Tribunal matters, including discrimination and whistle-blowing claims

Advising on restructures, redundancies, dismissals and TUPE

Commercially minded with excellent technical and client management skills

A strong communicator who can build trusted relationships with clients

Comfortable supervising and developing junior members of the team

Job Offer

  • Salary ranging from £85,000 to £95,000
