Band 6 Radiographer
We are proud to be supporting an NHS organisation in the recruitment of a Band 6 General Radiographer for a short-term assignment within a busy Imaging Department.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced radiographer to join a well-established team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality diagnostic and interventional services.
The successful candidate will bring broad radiography experience, including a strong background in interventional radiography, and be confident working in a fast-paced NHS environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a range of diagnostic imaging examinations.
- Support interventional radiology procedures.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Ensure patient safety and dignity at all times.
- Prepare patients for imaging and procedures.
- Operate imaging equipment safely and effectively.
- Comply with IR(ME)R and radiation protection standards.
- Maintain accurate patient records.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams.
- Support service quality and continuous improvement.
Essential Requirements
- BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
- HCPC registration as a Radiographer.
- Experience across general radiography services.
- Proven experience in interventional radiography.
- Strong knowledge of IR(ME)R and radiation safety.
- Previous NHS experience.
- Excellent communication and patient care skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload
