Job Description

Band 6 Radiographer

We are proud to be supporting an NHS organisation in the recruitment of a Band 6 General Radiographer for a short-term assignment within a busy Imaging Department.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced radiographer to join a well-established team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality diagnostic and interventional services.

The successful candidate will bring broad radiography experience, including a strong background in interventional radiography, and be confident working in a fast-paced NHS environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a range of diagnostic imaging examinations.
  • Support interventional radiology procedures.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Ensure patient safety and dignity at all times.
  • Prepare patients for imaging and procedures.
  • Operate imaging equipment safely and effectively.
  • Comply with IR(ME)R and radiation protection standards.
  • Maintain accurate patient records.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support service quality and continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements

  • BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent.
  • HCPC registration as a Radiographer.
  • Experience across general radiography services.
  • Proven experience in interventional radiography.
  • Strong knowledge of IR(ME)R and radiation safety.
  • Previous NHS experience.
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload
