Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead and motivate front-of-house teams ranging from 2 to 20 members during various events including weddings, conferences, proms, funerals, private functions, and tribute nights.
- Ensure the delivery of consistently high standards of customer service across all areas of the business.
- Support staff recruitment, training, and development to enhance team performance and service quality.
- Collaborate closely with kitchen and management teams to ensure successful event execution.
- Manage operational, customer-facing, and administrative responsibilities to maintain smooth venue operations.
- Undertake keyholder responsibilities including opening and closing the venue, as well as cashing-up procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing requirements.
- Assist with event planning and operational organisation to maintain a professional and welcoming environment.
- Remain composed and efficient during busy service periods, providing leadership and support wherever needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in hospitality management, assistant management, or a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to build, train, and motivate successful teams.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Good knowledge of ales, wines, spirits, and cellar management.
- Strong organisational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable with keyholder responsibilities and basic computer and administrative tasks.
- Professional, approachable, and well-presented, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and late finishes.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in hospitality, with a preference for those who have managed teams and delivered events.
