We are seeking an Data Architect to join a major identity, workforce and enterprise data transformation programme.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and building data models to support strategic business and technical requirements, whilst providing leadership across data architecture, governance, standards, integration and life cycle management.
This role requires a strong understanding of enterprise data architecture principles and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design and build conceptual, logical and physical data models to support business and solution architecture requirements.
- Undertake design, support and provide guidance for the upgrade, management, decommissioning and archiving of data assets in line with organisational data policies.
- Develop and maintain data standards, metadata repositories and data dictionaries.
- Conduct data profiling, source system analysis and impact assessments.
- Design and implement data architecture patterns, integration approaches, APIs, interoperability solutions and microservices.
- Support data governance, data quality, security and master data management initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise architecture principles, data standards and governance frameworks.
- Produce architecture documentation, design artefacts, recommendations and options papers.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to define and document functional and non-functional requirements.
- Work closely with stakeholders to translate complex data requirements into practical solutions.
Essential Skills & ExperienceData Architecture
- Extensive experience in data architecture and data modelling.
- Strong understanding of conceptual, logical and physical data modelling techniques.
- Experience developing, maintaining and reverse-engineering data models.
- Experience defining data standards and assessing the impact of compliance breaches.
- Strong understanding of metadata management and repository maintenance.
- Experience assuring data solutions and ensuring alignment with governance requirements.
