Salary: £38,000 per year

We are recruiting for an experienced and ambitious Junior Sous Chef to join the team at a well-established 2 AA Rosette restaurant on the outskirts of Billericay.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented chef looking to take the next step in their career and develop their skills within a high-quality, professional kitchen.

Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef, you will help deliver exceptional food using fresh, seasonal ingredients while maintaining the high standards expected of a 2 AA Rosette restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef with the day-to-day running of the kitchen
• Help lead the kitchen team during busy services
• Prepare and cook dishes to a consistently high standard
• Assist with seasonal menus and daily specials
• Support the training and development of junior chefs
• Assist with stock control, ordering and food cost management
• Maintain excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness, organisation and food presentation
• Work closely with the senior kitchen team to maintain 2 AA Rosette standards

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Junior Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie
• Experience in a quality restaurant or fresh food environment
• A genuine passion for cooking and fresh, seasonal produce
• Strong attention to detail and high personal standards
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to work calmly and effectively during busy service
• A desire to learn, develop and progress within a quality-led kitchen

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential due to the restaurant's location and limited public transport.
