Consultant MEICA Co-ordinator / Project Engineer
Location: South Gloucestershire / Gloucestershire
Contract: Contract Rate: £450-£500 per day, depending on experience
Duration: 6 months minimum
We are seeking an experienced MEICA Co-ordinator / Project Engineer to provide technical coordination and oversight of MEICA works on a major infrastructure project.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate MEICA activities across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation.
Review drawings, specifications, P&IDs, schematics and contractor submissions.
Identify technical interfaces, risks and issues across disciplines.
Monitor installation quality and progress.
Provide technical support and challenge to contractors and subcontractors.
Oversee testing, commissioning and handover.
Resolve technical queries, defects and commissioning issues.
Coordinate with project teams and ensure completion of relevant documentation.
Ensure MEICA systems operate effectively as an integrated system.
Technical Experience
Strong MEICA knowledge, ideally within water, wastewater, drainage, flood defence or infrastructure, including:
Pumps, pumping stations, valves and pipework
Motors, MCCs and electrical systems
Control panels and instrumentation
PLCs, SCADA and telemetry
Control and automation systems
Testing and commissioning
About You
Experience as a MEICA/EICA Engineer, MEICA Co-ordinator, M&E Engineer, Project Engineer or similar.
Water, wastewater or infrastructure experience.
Strong multidisciplinary engineering knowledge.
Contractor coordination experience.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of installation, testing and commissioning.
Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
Comfortable working in a site-based environment.
