Senior Finance Analyst

Robert Walters - Senior Financial Analyst - Permanent - Hybrid - Birmingham - £55,000 - £65,000 per annum

Our client, a leader in their market, is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to drive forecasting transformation, enhance business performance analysis, and deliver meaningful financial insight across the organisation. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded qualified accountant to lead process improvements, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support strategic decision-making within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst:

• Lead the review, development and enhancement of forecasting and budgeting models across the business.
• Deliver insightful analysis on key business trends, performance drivers, risks and opportunities.
• Identify and drive cost-saving initiatives through detailed financial and operational analysis.
• Review and improve cost allocation methodologies to ensure accurate reporting and commercial transparency.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across the business to provide robust financial insight and challenge assumptions.
• Support strategic projects and business transformation initiatives.
• Produce meaningful management information and performance reporting to support decision-making.
• Drive continuous improvement across finance processes, reporting and controls.
• Develop and maintain analytical tools and models to improve forecasting accuracy and efficiency.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to senior leadership teams.

Key essentials of the Senior Financial Analyst:

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.

• Experience with Python, SQL, Power BI, Alteryx or similar analytical tools.

• Demonstrable track record of delivering process improvements and driving efficiencies.
